ABOUT THE TRUST
  • Sri Sathya Sai Medical Trust was established on 9th September 1991. It is a Public Charitable Trust registered under Section 12A of the Income Tax Act, 1961 vide No.1(27)/ATP/91-92 dated 14/10/1991.
  • The Trust is also recognised under Section 10(23C)(via) of the Income Tax Act, 1961 [F.No. CC-I/Tech.-I/10(23C)/121/51 dated 30/10/2007 for assessment years 2008-2009 onwards.
  • The Trust is approved under Section 35AC of the Income Tax Act, 1961 [S.O.466(E) dated 29/03/2007 vide No.103/2007/F.No.NC-247/3/2007]. Under the provisions of this section, donors to the Trust (when donation is from income earned in India), are eligible for 100% deduction on their taxable income for the amount of donation.
  • The Trust is also approved under Section 80G(5)(vi) of the Income Tax Act, 1961 for the period 01/04/2006 to 31/03/2011 under the provisions of which donors to the Trust (when donation is from income earned in India) are eligible for 50% deduction on their taxable income for the amount of donation (subject to a limit of 10% of the gross total income for donations under Section 80G).
